Ok...blogging is just not my "thing"!

I am finding that I have a lot more fun updating the site then talking about it.  A lot has changed in the last few months on the site.  We were going to switch to an "ad supported" forum, then decided to ride it out in the current one to see if we would be happy once it reverts to a free forum.  Its not clear what features we will use.

A lot of content has been added to the site, and there's a lot more to go.  I really hope that we can get more brochures, ads, manuals, etc...especially stuff not found on other sites.  I am really pleased with the quailty of the brochures and ads on our site, as I know they will help a lot of owners and potential owners.  It was very interesting assembling the ads and brochures, great reading if you have the time.  If you have any of the missing years brochures or manuals, PLEASE consider sharing the them with the Apache community.

Tom (Lugisland1) introduced us to a new item, the Apache owners map...very cool!  I now also have it linked off the main site.  He also continues making the forum a great and interesting place for us to visit.

I will probably replace the "blog" link soon with an "Articles" link.  If anyone wants to write articles that they think will interest our community (buying a camper, repair instructions, camping tips, etc...) I will be looking for a method of organizing and adding them to the site.

Thanks again for everyones continued input...this is a community site, so it will only be as good as we make it.

New Froum Host!

The goal of is to give Apache enthusiasts their own community. Although this site will likely always be "under construction", much of the content will be links to other websites hosted by Apache fans. This site will be a blend of hosted content and links to content relevant to our community. I am pleased to announce that our forum will now be hosted on EZboard by "Lugisland1". I hope to continue to take advantage of the many resources available on the web to provide a stable, fee-free, feature rich community. I welcome any and all sugestions on how to improve this site. I encourage you to register with that forum which I believe can better serveour community. I do want to thank you for previously joining this board, and hope you will agree that the new forum will provide a better structure for our members.

Its my parent's fault...

My parents purchased a 1971 Apache Mesa (slightly used) around 1972. My parents, 3 brothers, and I all packed into the Mesa for a number of camping trips. We used the Apache for a couple of years until we upgraded to a travel trailer on a seasonal site. Over 35 years later I bought a '76 Apache Royal for our family of five. The Royal was replaced a year later by a '78 Ranger. We then moved up to a Travel Trailer on a seasonal site for one season...but sold it and purchased our '77 Ramada
